Jessica Smith is the new girl in school…during the second semester…of her senior year.

Her mom’s new boyfriend, one in a long line of pathetic middle-aged men her mom clings to, is the reason they’re here—in Sunnyvale. The name must have been constructed ironically because there’s nothing sunny about this town. The kids in her class are all consumed with prom, and more importantly—who will be this year's prom queen and king.
Not that Jessica could care. Prom’s not really her thing.
But when prom court candidates start disappearing, Jessica takes notice. Disappearances turn to murders and it becomes clear that someone or something is picking off the seniors of Sunnyvale High. And Jessica could be next.
Is someone willing to kill in order to become prom queen?
