Death By Dawn

(2026)
(The fifth book in the Strife After Death series)
A novel by

Cora Hart has faced every imaginable threat and monster. This time, she's facing an empty chair where her boyfriend used to sit.

Damon is gone - not dead, not missing exactly, but sealed inside a pocket dimension of his own making, holding the whole thing together from behind a door Cora can't open. And when he disappeared, he took Leap Point's magic with him. Kit can't shift. Lucipurr can't say a word. Cora's own spells are fizzling like wet sparklers. The town is running on fumes, and so is she.

Naturally, that's when somebody turns up dead in the community centre pool.

Raymond Pruitt ran a tight ship, made a lot of enemies doing it, and is now very much a murder victim - and with the coven's ghost-whispering switched off along with everything else, Cora's stuck solving this one the old-fashioned way: nosy questions, bad instincts, and a fox-shifter sidekick who is freaking out about her lack of powers.

Cora's got a killer to catch, a suspicious Hunter's Council to manage, and a boyfriend to physically extract from another dimension before the whole thing seals shut with him in it. It's a lot, even by Leap Point standards.

She'll fall apart later. Right now, she’s got work to do.

Nothing stays lost in Leap Point. Not on Cora's watch.
