A drained lake that gave up its dead. A house that won’t stay quiet. Something in the deep woods that kills with trees — and never misses.

Welcome back to Brackenlake.

Cordelia Rose survived her first season as a small-town PI: monsters, stalkers, and the near-drowning of everything she’d just inherited. Her reward is a haunted Victorian, an agency with actual paying clients, and a reputation she never asked for. Things are finally settling down.

Then the lake comes down, and the barrels come up. The bodies inside have been waiting years for someone to start asking questions. Cordelia would prefer it wasn’t her. It is.

Meanwhile, loggers are dying out past the tree line, crushed in ways no accident can explain. The locals have stories about what lives in those woods. Cordelia’s starting to suspect the stories aren’t folklore.

As if that weren’t enough, a biker gang has taken a sudden interest in her business. Pink’s scumbag ex is back in town, running his latest scam. And local bad boy Tar Perry is calling in a debt — all Cordelia has to do is steal back a stolen heirloom. Simple. Probably.

Add two very different men taking up far too much room in her head, and Cordelia’s caseload is officially full.

The woods have rules. She’d better learn them fast — because the things out there don’t forgive twice.

Weird Visions is a paranormal mystery with action, comedy, and a small town full of secrets. It features a standalone plot and can be read on its own.
