Goldie Weston Historical Mysteries 1920s light and clean cozy Book 8
Goldie takes a moment to savor her modest success. Of course, it’s true that her identity as a knowledgeable doyenne of household tips and matters of the heart is still a secret. Well, mostly a secret at any rate. It seems that some have fathomed the truth including a certain man in a uniquely dimpled fedora. Still, he doesn’t hold it against her that she attempted to conceal her role with the newspaper and she is confident there are no more secrets between them.

At any rate, there is the matter of her new office to celebrate! No longer secreted away in the attic at home, Goldie contentedly burrows into her new life responding to letters and spending her evenings with Zeb. Except now her absences from home have caused Mags to go digging for the truth sending Goldie scurrying for safety. Dodging her mother’s efforts to trap her into revealing her secret keeps Goldie busy enough.

When a friend is accused of returning to a life of crime, Goldie doggedly refutes the accusation. Vowing to prove his innocence, she determinedly tunnels her way through a field of vexing mistruths and conundrums, some of them involving members of her large family. Along the way, she may learn more than she hoped for especially as regards her own blossoming relationship with Zeb.

Goldie scampers to keep her secret identity safe, prevent her budding relationship with Zeb from being snuffed out, help a friend in need, and solve a mystery or two while remaining one step ahead of a special agent hard on her stylish heels.

A light and clean cozy roaring twenties historical mystery that offers a look into life in the early 1920s.
