One job ended, on to the next. A fresh start. Bridgett was looking forward to the adventure and for once a quiet relaxing environment. Then, the call came, her former captain died, and once again Bridgett’s life devolves into chaos.
When word came of Captain Jensen’s passing, Bridgett knew she needed to attend the funeral. He had been a mentor to her during her early days on the force and his loss brought back memories and sorrow. However, when she arrives in Cleveland, she meets up with old friends who inform her the cause of Jensen’s death is a closely guarded secret. Days later, a second captain dies and Bridgett’s curiosity is piqued enough to begin her own investigation but what she finds could prove deadly to Bridgett and her friends.
Meanwhile, Drew is less than enthused about their new position. He finds the job and the restaurant are not what he was led to believe, and the owner is shady. Something else is going on that he does not understand but when offered a substantial amount of money to get the restaurant open, he sets aside his concerns and goes to work. However, even his passion for cooking cannot hide the fact that the restaurant is being used as a front for something more sinister, something that places him in danger.
Miles away from each other, as pressures grow and the danger ramps up, Bridgett and Drew must deal with their own potentially deadly situations but will either of them survive to be reunited?
