Francis is sent north to the frozen Kingdom of Tules. His goal is to acquire a legendary skill that will let him survive otherwise fatal injuries, and lengthen his loops. However, the warriors of Tules don't care for his kingdom, or most southerners. If he wants their knowledge, he will have to prove himself.
With every death, Francis grows stronger, learning new skills, weapons, and even magic. For the first time in a while, he starts forging relationships that he doesn't want to lose.
Then one day, Francis wakes up, the loop having reset itself after surviving longer than before. The only problem is he didn't die. Now he must find out what caused the reset and where the danger lies.
In order to save Michael, end the war, and preserve his relationships Francis must figure out what awaits him in the North.
