It's December 1848 and young Elizabeth Taylor Greenfield has her mind on one thing--being chosen as the soloist for the Philadelphia Female Anti-Slavery Society (PFASS) Christmas Bazaar, an annual fundraiser to provide food, blankets, and supplies to families escaping southern plantations. Eliza hopes that someone with influence will hear her amazing three-octave voice and help her procure the singing lessons she desperately craves, so that she may pursue a singing career one day. But an activation of the Underground Railroad and an emotional encounter with a young, escaping, Mandika woman named Binah help Eliza see the meaning of an even bigger blessing. The gift of freedom.
