Detective Sarah Jane Prentice has three problems.

Handling the vampire will be even trickier, because let's face it at nearly 50 years old, hunting vampires is a young woman's game and a little out of her purview. But when her daughter's roommate disappears, Sarah Jane suspects the vampire and she knows she can't stand by idly, because if she doesn't do something, her daughter will.
And if all of that wasn’t enough to deal with, her new spirit guide is insisting that she start dating. She isn’t sure what’s scarier. Finding the murderer, stopping a vampire, or dating for the first time in more than twenty-five years.
