THIS IS A DCI PETER MOONE NOVELLA
A Christmas party. A hotel with a ghost. A killer among the guests.
DCI Mandy Butler’s Christmas Eve at the Burgh Island Hotel was meant to be a romantic break with Chris. After their split, she invites Peter Moone along instead, hoping they can still make the most of it.
The decorations are up, the drinks are flowing, and a works party is in full swing. The hotel has even brought in fake snow to complete the festive scene.
Then a body is found beneath it.
One of the guests has been murdered, and his colleagues seem more willing to raise a glass to his death than mourn him. Everyone has something to hide. Everyone seems to have a reason to want him dead.
With their Christmas plans abandoned, Moone and Butler must unravel the dead man’s secrets and find his killer among the people who knew him best.
But another story haunts the hotel. The legend of a woman whose ghost never left.
As Christmas Eve turns dark, Moone and Butler must discover which stories to believe.
And who is prepared to kill to keep the truth buried.
Genre: Mystery
