(2020)(The fifth book in the Missing Husband series)
A Story by Alisha Armstrong
Christine learns her marriage was possibly faked because Philip’s name really wasn’t Hammond and he had a wife when he had another name. Tim thinks he probably didn’t divorce her. She goes to the door where Philip is thought to be and knocks. He answers. Christine is so mad at him she punches and kicks him and he falls down. She then ties him up so she can get answers to all the questions she has. Philip admits to killing Carlton Brice and explains the other things she asks.
Tim calls a journalist he knows and gets him to write and publish Christine’s story. He feels if the public know what went on, it is too late for the agency to kidnap or kill her. Once the story is published they call the police.
Christine takes the government to court for ruining her life, and despite difficulties she manages to get her case heard, thanks to the journalist who publishes everything in the hope of keeping her safe. She wins her case and from then on the agencies have to follow stricter rules and answer to a committee.
