Yeah, the things that made us rapidly wake up in cold sweat weren’t figments of our imagination. They were their own evil entities, and there were men who literally had to battle them with their sandy magic that sparkled and glowed golden hues. These men took a keen interest in me because only men had ever been called for the job.
I didn’t like it. I spent my life running from my problems, and I’d spend it trying to run away from this. The only problem? No one could run from their subconscious for long, no matter how much caffeine they drank.
