Mask

(2021)
(The first book in the Paris Holloman Horror Mystery series)
A novel by

Paris Holloman sees dead people. Or, rather, soon-to-be-dead people. People who are about to suffer a violent death present a certain look. A mask. And only Paris sees it.

He doesn’t like it, but there it is. He might be able to save their lives if he can get them to shake up their day-to-day routines. That’s the good news. The bad news is that when someone wearing the death mask is later murdered, the law wonders why Paris had shown so much interest in them. When it happens multiple times, the cops are even more curious.

This would be problem enough for a normal guy, but Paris isn’t normal. Not by a long shot. Nobody knows about his gift. Or that he’s got other secrets too. The New York City television producer has transplanted himself to an Alabama town on Lookout Mountain.

The inhabitants aren’t quite sure what to make of him. And when folks start dying after he shows up, it does nothing to endear him to the locals. What happens when they discover what else is going on in his life? Do they really want to know the whole truth?

They won’t like it.
