Restauranteur and amateur sleuth, Carolina Hart, is as busy as a bee getting ready to set up her catering booth for a local festival. Her last catering event had quite an unusual ending, so she hopes that this one will go well and will bring in more customers.
Pleased when her booth receives lots of positive attention, Carolina breathes a sigh of relief. It looks like things might turn around after all.
Until a body is discovered in the parking lot.
News of the murder triggers a memory. Carolina could swear that she saw a group of strangers in the same area where the body was found.
Upset about the loss of a fellow vendor, and determined to overcome her fear, Carolina starts digging for clues as to what might have happened.
When a broken appliance causes her to stay late, after the fair has closed for the day, she hears voices nearby and hopes against hope that they don’t belong to the group that she remembered from the parking lot.
The lights are out, her phone is nearly dead, and just when she thinks things can’t get much worse, Carolina is spotted, and runs for her life.
Can she crack the case before she becomes the next target?
