Sometimes a quest for more visitors…
Can be murder.
Retired bistro owner and amateur sleuth, Loretta Barksdale, is settling into her new life at Breezy Lake Village, and loves being a part of the Clubhouse Cooks group.

She’s discovered that the folks in the Village tend to take care of things for themselves, which seems to make outsiders upset at times.

When the surrounding community complains that the Village doesn’t bring in enough tourist dollars, a petition is circulated that does nothing but cause trouble. The residents like their quiet lifestyle and have no desire to be overrun by tourists.

When a body is found floating in the Village’s namesake lake, it becomes more than clear that the victim was significantly involved in the conflict over the petition.

While the obvious suspect would be someone from Breezy Lake who wants to maintain the lifestyle that they all enjoy, Loretta refuses to believe that one of her new friends is a murderer, and she sets out to dig up the truth.

What she finds during her investigation grows more and more disturbing. Can she get to the bottom of the case and find the real killer before one of her friends is blamed?
