The Christmas Favor
(2026)(The first book in the Christmas in Willow Creek series)
A novel by Melissa Alyse
A warm, faith-filled Christmas romance about second chances, opening your heart, and the unexpected joy of being chosen.
Vanessa Brooks spends Christmas making other families’ homes beautiful—while her own tree stays packed away. But when her best friend needs help with Willow Creek’s Christmas Home Tour, Vanessa agrees to decorate her brother’s restored farmhouse.
Firefighter Caleb Walker owns exactly one wreath—and the price tag is still attached. Eighteen months after being left at the altar, he prefers the quiet life he’s carefully rebuilt.
Then Vanessa arrives with Christmas music, strong opinions about ribbon, and a way of noticing what matters.
Between choosing a tree, small-town Christmas traditions, and quiet evenings beneath the porch lights, something begins to change. Caleb sees the woman behind Vanessa’s capable smile. And Vanessa discovers what it feels like to be wanted—not simply needed.
This Christmas, two guarded hearts may discover that what they never expected is exactly what they needed.
