The Poacher's Son

It is 1910. Arthur loathes school, is probably dyslexic and longs to be outside. So he bunks off, spending the time outside like his gamekeeper father. He plans to be a gamekeeper and follows Dad around. Then Dad loses his job, and dies. Runner-up for the "Guardian" Award in 1982.
