His devastation and loss overwhelm and consume him and against orders, he leaves determined to find the aliens who killed his family and make them pay for their crime. He vows to hunt them down no matter how long it takes and extract his vengeance.
But it's a large universe and finding those guilty of the attack was going to be far more difficult than he believed. But his rage drove him forward and he discovered there were far more issues to deal with above and beyond simply finding them. He first had to find just who he was becoming before he found the aliens and that could destroy him long before his mission could be completed.

Kada fired the hand weapon at the floor again as she grabbed Cam and jumped through the hole. They arrived in another corridor that had a dead end, and she saw Grogan Warriors spilling out of a door at the other end of the corridor. She looked at Cam and he said, ‘I guess this is where we’ll make our stand.’ Both of them activated their helmets and the Grogan Officer commanding the warriors stopped their advance when he saw the two fugitives were wearing armor.
He shouted, ‘Lay down your weapons.’
Kada said in a calm voice, ‘Why are you pursuing us?’
‘We have some questions that need to be answered.’
‘You are aware you are threatening a Tacari Royal.’
The Officer smiled, ‘Who will ever know? Now lay down your weapons or die.’ Cam was standing beside Kada and he suddenly saw one of the Krogen warriors in the back raise a large shoulder weapon and pull the trigger. He shoved Kada aside as he stepped in front of her. The brilliant beam from the weapon hit Cam in the chest throwing him five yards behind Kada where he crashed unmoving to the floor. Kada screamed and rushed to him. She looked at his mind and didn’t hear anything; his armor was smoking around the charred edges on his chest.
The Krogan Officer turned and shot the warrior in the head who fired the weapon, ‘I SAID I WANTED THEM ALIVE!’
Kada stood up and turned toward the mass of Krogen warriors moving toward them. Her expression showed barely controlled rage as she deliberately pulled two long energy blades out of scabbards that appeared on her back and activated them. In an instant she was moving into the mass of Krogen warriors and bodies began falling to the floor. They tried to fire at her, but she was moving too fast. The first Krogen killed was the Officer who had his head removed in an instant. Kada waded into the Krogen, and they fell at an incredible speed. Eighty-three of them lay dead when the survivors turned and fled.
Saxon Andrew's books normally have twists and turns that keep your head spinning and this story is no exception. The Rage of the Hunter will be extremely difficult to put down, and the ending will be stunning. So, settle back and take a trip into a Dangerous Universe.
