She's a survivor, though, and she decides to fight for a better life for herself and her young son. She has lost her beloved husband and sees that she has few options. She doesn't want her son to grow up with an expectation that he follow his father's footsteps of being a butler in a wealthy household. She decides to become a Mail Order Bride and starts corresponding with a doctor in Belmont, Nevada. The two become quite close through their letters and Ella is sure she has found the answer to her prayers. A stable, new life for the two of them. Dr. George McCade is a well respected doctor who serves the community of Belmont. He is eager to meet Ella and have her become his wife. He offers a proposal in his letter before they meet face to face. Ella is taken in by his charm and outlook on life. What could go wrong for these two love birds? Next, in A Ready Made Family, Ava received the devastating news that she would never have a child of her own. She was trying to figure out what came next for her and her husband. She knew that there were plenty of children who needed good homes and loving parents. She and Phillip could provide that. Only Phillip wasn't willing to adopt. He insisted that children of his own was all that he would accept. He didn't want a broken, barren wife. So he divorced her. Just like that. When she fell in love with a set of twins who needed a family, Ava agreed to be their foster mother. This was her only option if she wanted to have a role in the lives of these precious children. She longed for a permanent solution, but there was no hope that she would be allowed to adopt them as long as she was a single woman. The drastic move she makes next will surprise the children and turn her into a law breaker. When she finally does meet her true love, will he be able to forgive her transgressions? Then, in A Troubled Friendship, a scheme that seemed harmless at first causes hearts to be on the line for two life long friends. In an effort to pull Abigail out of her depression, Fiona cooks up a plan to write to a lonely rancher in Crystal Lake, Wyoming. They have no idea that this plot will have unintended consequences. Graham Barrett is searching for a wife and he has some very specific requirements. He believes Rosalie Collins meets them all. But in his quest for the perfect wife, he finds that he may have been taken advantage of. Before he turns the table on the two women involved in the plot, he decides to see if either one of them could possibly be the Rosalie he so desperately wants. As he learns more about the two women who are competing to win his heart, he learns about himself. Find out how Rosalie fits into this story and how Graham finally finds her as he opens his heart to reality and understanding. And finally, in A Leap of Faith, Gillian comes from privilege and wealth. She's also bored and lonely. She's looking for purpose and acceptance. She's willing to trade her cushy life in New York for the unknown hardships in the frontier of California. What she gets is sadness, heartbreak, and loss. How will she cope? Marcus isn't the kind of man a New York socialite would normally fall for. He's a handsome ranch owner, but he has no manners and he doesn't know how to treat a lady. Showing emotions or talking about his feelings is not something he's willing to do until a tragedy changes everything. Will a terrible event draw these two together or will it be the thing that pulls them apart for good?
