412 pp. 8vo. A comic novel by the author of the controversial A Clockwork Orange, which inspired the film that was perhaps even more controversial. Burgess first released a novel entitled Inside Mr. Enderby, written pseudonymously as Joseph Kell, which was suppressed in the United States.
