When a caller reports seeing an alligator dragging a man through the waters of Bayou Tail, Officer Homer Verdin responds to the scene and leaps into action. When he disappears in the muddy waters, Clint Wolf and the rest of the Mechant Loup team begin a desperate search for their friend and fellow law enforcement officer.
During the search, they make a puzzling discovery that will lead Clint on the trail of dangerous killer.
Will Homer be okay, or will tragedy strike? And will Clint and the rest of the team be able to track down and bring this killer to justice?
