Christopher Burns was born in the bedroom of a terraced house on Pink Street, Blackburn in September,1961. The house was basic to say the least, two up two down, no hot running water, no heating, except for open fires downstairs. No fridges, no washers, no cupboards and rather alarmingly, still piped for the original gas wall lights.
By 1964, the famly had been rehoused, in the beautiful village of Feniscowles where most mod cons were available. The house and estate still remain and is relatively the same. Pink Street however was wiped from the face of the earth, during the nuclear slum clearances, 1965-80.
Christopher has been a professional artist/caricaturist, since 1987, He has had many a succesfull exhibition in the town, with work being shipped to Germany, new Zealand, Canada, Australia and his Mam's outdoor toilet...He has also been the illustrator for a couple of his Father's books and likes playing with Lego.
In 2013 He decided to try his hand at writing and has never looked back (due to a crick in his neck)
Christopher says..." I like to involve people with wot it is wot I am righting, wreading and righting is best when one can read wot one has writ. Wot pleasure there is in righting. I think people enjoy wot it is wot I am righting...I like righting, me..."
