Daniel M. Bensen was born in Chicago and has since lived in Oakland, Maine; Stockton, California; Brunswick, Maine; Hikone, Japan; Missoula, Montana; Salem, Massachusetts; and Boston, Massachusetts. He currently lives with his wife and her family in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he teaches English as a second language. Aside from periodically moving, Dan enjoys reading, writing, art, playing taiko, and learning languages.
