Very good clean tight sound square, no bookplate, inscription or ownership marks, remarkably free from foxing or browning. In very good bright gilt ruled and lettered blue cloth, with like unclipped (7s6d)colour pictorial dustwrapper, featuring characteristic scene of skiing Chalet girls in water fight with boys to upper and in rowing boat against Swiss mountains to spine. Great shelf presence, with No. 43 denoting position in the Chalet School Series of 58. Evidently the dustwrapper has been preserved with a wrap, since removed, so is in very good clean crisp condition. Pale ghost mark of sellotape remain to endpapers. A charming and nostalgic treat for reader and collector alike, in lovely condition, this volume would grace any library.
