Dreaming of Christmas

(The fifth book in the Fir Tree Grove Holidays series)
A novel by

A charming, feel-good, sweet holiday romance stuffed full of Christmas cheer. Grab a mug of hot cocoa, curl up by the fireplace, and be swept away by a book the celebrates the merriest season!

When reporter Layla Thompson is sent to Fir Tree Grove to write an article about the charming holiday town, she expects it to be a quick and easy puff piece. A city girl through and through, she’s skeptical of the little town’s quaint appeal. But whatever she expected, it’s all turned upside down when a massive snowstorm strands her in Fir Tree Grove over Christmas.

Widower Christopher Holcomb has been running Hearthside Cottage, the town’s cozy B&B, on his own for years. He loves his home and his close-knit community, but despite being surrounded by friends, he can’t escape the feeling that something is missing from his life.

It never occurred to him that the missing piece might be a beautiful and whip-smart (if slightly jaded) reporter from out of town. With Layla staying at the B&B while she works on her article, the sudden storm pulls them further into each other’s orbit as they weather it together. And to Christopher’s surprise, Layla steps up and insists on pitching in with the relief efforts in the storm’s aftermath. As they work side by side to care for the community, he begins to wonder if he misjudged her.

For her part, Layla begins to realize that there’s far more to Fir Tree Grove—and to Christopher—than she first thought. As the roads begin to clear, she finds herself facing a question she never expected: what if leaving this small town means leaving her heart behind?
