Burning Georgia

(2017)
A novel by

Georgia left three things behind after she was murdered:
1. Hangman games played on a messenger bag in black ink
2. A moody, brooding ex-boyfriend
3. One big secret
In the twelve weeks since her sister's death, Michaela Summerton has tried to keep her family from crumbling apart, but with Georgia's murder unsolved, she's finding it impossible.
When she agrees to go out with flirtatious, commitment-phobe Rodney Freemont, she has no idea his stepfather is the lead investigator assigned to her sister's case. Now, keeping Rodney close is essential to sneaking information from Georgia's file sitting in Rodney's step-dad's home office. But as Michaela's feelings grow for Rodney, so does her fear of losing him if he finds out what she's doing.
What Michaela finds in the crime scene photos, police interviews and coroner's report leads her down a trail of discovering the truth. She wasn't the only one Georgia confided her secret to, and in the end, telling the wrong person proved deadly.
