(A book in the Alex Noziak Invisible Recruit Series series)
A Novella by

Modern female covert operatives battle the supernatural in this new urban fantasy series from USA Today best selling author Mary Buckham!

Magic is the last gift part-witch, part-shaman, Alex Noziak wants but she must embrace it to gain her freedom.

After Alex kills a Were to save her shifter brother and ends up behind bars, her only chance to leave prison is to join an elite Agency of humans, fae, and shapeshifters to fight preternatural threats. All she must do is tap into her erratic magic abilities and survive for a year. Sounds like a no-brainer.

But as Alex jumps into a human world of demons, fae, wizards all is not as it seems. First step is surviving training, as someone doesn't want the new Agency, or Alex, to succeed. Prison never looked so good in comparison.

"Not since Kate Daniels and Mercy Thompson have I fallen in love with a female character like I have with Alex Noziak." ~ Urban Girl Reader

Interview with the Author

Q: What makes the Alex Noziak series special?
A: The series features a modern female covert team, the Invisible Recruit Agency, protecting mankind from supernatural threats. It's part urban fantasy, part paranormal mystery, and part a supernatural thriller. Think Witchblade meets Supernatural with a star-crossed romance thrown in and you've got it!

Q: Is there a particular order that the books should be read in?
A: While each book or novella can stand alone, I think readers will get more enjoyment if they follow this sequence:

Invisible Prison (eNovella)

Invisible Magic

Invisible Duty (eNovella)

Invisible Power

Invisible Fate

Invisible Fears (Kelly McAllister Book 1)

Invisible Allies (eNovella)

Invisible Secrets (Kelly McAllister Book 2)

Invisible Journey

What makes the series different from other urban fantasy series?

A: First, the story events happen worldwide. Unlike many contemporary UF stories the Alex Noziak stories occur in locations such as Paris, the Maldives, Washington, D.C., and Africa. Secondly, while all of the storylines in the Alex Noziak series include traditional UF action oriented fight scenes, they also contain a lot of what isn't typical for most urban fantasy-emotional growth & development of the main characters. Alex must deal with the dynamics of her strong female teammates as well as interference from her shaman father, her shapeshifting brothers and her Celtic witch mother. Relationships are messy, but they also add a fun, deeper dimension to Alex. Third, unlike many other paranormal romance series on the market today, there isn't a primary focus on a happy ever after relationship that's resolved in one book; if you want your heroine hooking up with a hot warlock, you've definitely come to the right place, but expect cliff hanging endings as the relationship is not tied up with a pretty bow after book one.

To help readers know what the Alex Noziak books are like, what would you compare them to?A: Readers of Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series, Kat Richardson's Greywalker series, and Illona Andrews Kate Daniels series or TV shows like Supernatural, True Blood (without all the graphic sex scenes), and Grimm should get into these books.

"In the tradition of the Urban Fantasy, Alex Noziak is tough and/or determined to not come off as a wussy girl. Right off I know she's a terrier." ~ Laurel Wilczek

". . .you will be drawn into Alex's world, a world where witches, shamans, and other magic creatures exist. this is going to be a kick-ass series with a kick-ass heroine!" ~ Julie O
