When a woman’s body is found after a Christmas Eve party in Weston-super-Mare, it looks like death from exposure. DCI Louise Blackwell isn’t so sure.
When a second body is found on New Year’s Day, Blackwell realises she is up against a killer with a very particular agenda: targeting those who have already lost someone, and working to the dates of the old winter calendar.
With her team stretched thin, her DS struggling with the demands of the investigation, and her own mother failing, Louise is forced to ask a question that cuts closer to home than she would like: what will grief drive a person to do?
The clock is ticking, and the next night is already close.
The Vigil is the ninth gripping DCI Louise Blackwell crime thriller.
Genre: Mystery
