When amateur sleuth, Lorelei French, returns from a visit out of town, she immediately heads to the nursing home where she boarded her cat, Latte. She couldn’t wait to see her favorite feline…who has some very unusual abilities. When Lorelei takes notice of Latte’s intense focus on one man in particular, warning bells begin pealing madly. She’d seen that look before in the cat’s eyes. It always meant that someone was about to die.
Taking the warning to heart, Lorelei begins her surveillance, and doesn’t take her eyes off of the man for the entire day. When disaster strikes, she manages to save the intended victim, but his would-be killer gets away.
Worried that the killer might come back to finish the job, a distressed Lorelei has to work against the clock to figure out who the killer is and what he wants…before it’s too late.
