Lincoln:
I need a woman around my cabin like I need a wife. Wait. I don’t need a wife either. I definitely don’t need a Reagan Foster turning up on my doorstep when I’m still recuperating from my latest f-up.
But there she is. After she breaks into my cabin at Christmas, I find her wearing my clothes, sipping my delicious, specialty hot cocoa that I’m not admitting I’m addicted to. And instead of getting scared of me, which she should because I’m big and annoyed right now, she just sits there and sasses me like it’s her job.
Sadly, I seem to like it. Or at least part of me does. He’s not in control here though.
Mostly.
The woman’s a menace. She almost catches my hair on fire when I’m trying to teach her how to light the fireplace. She trips over me in the dark, falls on me and knees me someplace I don’t want to talk about. Naturally, after I’ve stopped gasping for air and the pain lessens somewhat, I have to respond by kissing her because I just can’t stop myself. She’s just a mess.
But the guy who thinks he’s taking her away from me? Yeah. Go ahead and try.
Reagan:
He’s big, burly and looks like he eats tanks for breakfast. Yet, he makes me feel so safe. Something I haven’t had a lot of in my life.
My father runs a huge mafia family in New York. He’s looking for me to end a feud with another family to increase his power. No way. I’m not going to be a pawn in one of his games.
But the psycho he wants me to marry has no intention of giving up.
Why can’t I focus on that instead of the dark-eyed grump who makes my heart race and my brain go on the fritz?
Genre: Romantic Suspense
