SYNOPSIS: "The rich gold strike at Gopher, a wild western mining camp, attracted all breeds of men, desperado and prospector alike. To protect their hard-earned gold from outlaws, the miners devised a clever scheme by which they pooled all their dust, melted it, and molded it into a hug golden sphere worth millions of dollars. This immovable golden globe was placed in the center of town, a temptation to all who saw it, yet completely safe because of its great weight. Adam Patch, a young doctor, came to Gopher to try to stop the dread Tonopah fever and came face to face with the town's lust for gold and the struggle to obtain it at any cost."
