The Kruger Mines wanted profits at any cost. As the big hydraulic pumps shot a continuous jet stream of water into the hills, huge sections of mountainside quivered under the impact and dissolved into a torrent of mud. In the valley below, the once green pastures disappeared and cattle died of thirst and starvation. The ranchers grew desperate. With their homes at stake, a courageous group banded together to fight Kruger with his own methods. Soon, the night resounded with the thunder of hoofbeats as the ranchers rode to win back their way of life.
