Some cases call for extreme methods...

Following a sojourn in a psychiatric hospital and having fought an illness, Sister Agnes Carmichael is now back as Nursing Officer at the orthopaedic ward she rules with an iron fist.

It's a step in the right direction for her career - one she is determined to fulfil to the utmost - and nothing will stand in her way...

Jack Sampson, the hospital porter, is desperate for his wife to be bumped up the waiting list for medical attention. He hopes that doing a favour for Sister Carmichael will accelerate the process, but his hopes are soon dashed by the fearsome Sister.

Smarted, Sampson incites the nurses to unionize, much to Carmichael's disgust. She soon puts a stop to that problem though...

But when her pretty cottage is vandalized, and her beloved cats taken, Sister Carmichael feels the familiar dark cloud descend, and her rehabilitation unravels.

Justice must be served... Sister Carmichael will accept nothing less...
