A Little Halloween Reading

A collection of stories by

Happy October! A Little Halloween Reading is a celebration of my favorite season. It contains just four short stories and two poems, but a lot of variety is packed into this little volume.

There are two urban fantasy stories, a historical fantasy tale set in Scotland's border country during the infancy of Mary Queen of Scots, and a ghost story set in colonial Newport, Rhode Island. One of the poems is a conversation between two elderly ladies, the other is set in Okinawa during Obon--the three-day festival of the dead. There's humor and heartbreak, and yes, there are elves, but they're the elves of Scottish folklore, not the bright and shining beings found in high fantasy.

Please note that this is a reprint anthology. If you've already purchased Voices, you've read the short stories.
