Sometimes going back home can be murder.
When Meredith Brady and her team receive an email about a missing person, they almost decide not to take the case. They've had enough of that, thank you very much. But when they find out the potential victim is a conspiracy theorist and paranormal nut, they decide to look into it. The only downside is the case takes place in Michigan, which is perilously close to the only family Jess and Meredith have left. Family neither of them wants to see again.
Unfortunately, estranged family isn't the only thing Jess, Russ, and Meredith need to worry about when they learn their missing conspiracy theorist was conducting an investigation of his own. One that involved an old arcade game that might have been part of a government experiment on mind control. One that people mysteriously disappeared or went crazy after playing. One that supposedly never existed.
Now Meredith and her team are playing a perilous game of their own as they try to figure out what happened to the man they're trying to find before time runs out and it's game over for them all.
