This is a HEA, Hot Romantic Fiction Novel in the Galactic Cyborg Heat Series. A tantalizing sci-fi story of passions and desires, that unexpectedly brings together two people through unexpected events. A stand-alone novel best read in order but not doing so won’t spoil your enjoyment.
If you love the work of Anna Hackett and Eve Langlais you will love this. This book is filled with hot sex, strong dominant men and sexy females. It’s gritty, confrontational and steam will be coming out of your ears. If you’re looking for something to get those juices flowing, you just found it. Enjoy!

Written in mainly British English, it has American words and language throughout.

Lana. Happy New Year! Ha! Love? She was done with it. This New Years' resolution? She was over it!

Eros. Commander. Made to seduce. She wouldn't know what hit her!

*****

Another New Year. Just perfect. It couldn't be as bad as the last one right?

Yeah it could. Been there, done that.

She didn't know why she kept putting herself out there. Glutton for punishment, that's who she was. She'd tell herself it was enough, she was done, then she'd see all those happy couples having a good life and think she wasn't a bad person, didn't she deserve to be happy too? She'd listen to her workmates and neighbours trying to get her there, offering up friends of friends, family, someone who was just single and perfect for her and she'd go along with it when they wore her down. One disaster after another and have to make some excuse where she was at fault.

Soul destroying. Was she asking for Mr Perfect? She didn't think so. Just Mr who suited her. Was she being too picky? She didn't think that either. Why should she settle for less than what she wanted? Was it unreasonable to try and have it all? Was it possible? What was wrong with her?

She was being dumb, she knew it. The world didn't work that way. Didn't matter if you deserved it or not. Sometimes, it just didn't come along.

And those that did? Just didn't seem to be right. She'd try, smile, enjoy the sex if it got that far, kinda, but there was always something stopping her from just, letting go, having faith, believing in it, that it would last, be real. And she'd hold back, not give everything. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Didn't she deserve to be happy? To be carefree? Have someone to depend on that would never let her down? Where she didn't have to carry it all alone?

But no. No more. She was decided. Deserving or not, it was too much. Too hard. And far easier alone.

His mate was on this world. Not that she knew it. One of many worlds in the Empire. She'd been injured four months ago in a hit and run, falling off a solar bike. A stint in a med bed to fix the damage, her leg and arm repaired, the blood screening result had made a match. Him. Galaxy's away, he'd been placed on the next transport coming this way. Three changes of ship, and here he was.

Her world, but she didn't know he was here.

He looked at his PID on his arm and smiled. But he knew where to find her.....
