Slave. He took the name of what he was. Of what he'd been made to be.....

Still a number, he waited to be given new orders. Whatever they were, there would be no denying them. No matter what they were, he would comply. He did not have control. They did. The programming held sway. He was the Cyborg they’d made him to be along with his brothers.

Deployed to space in the colonisation program, Earth Corp security for a new world they’d been on the ship a long time. Decades. Lost. Moving through space heading for their destination unaware if the colonists had made it or not. Something had gone wrong with the navigation system of their ship. Vastly off course when woken they were not trained to fix it. But the human crew dying in cryo, did not stop them.

Automatically being revived by the ship's computer, they could download anything. Infiltrating the ships data and human crews personal logs they eventually found what they needed.

Their base code designed to ensure survival at all costs. It took time. Time they had. But survive they did.

Leapfrogging through cryo, only so many awake at any one time, they finally reached their destination. 190 years too late. With no contact with Old Earth or their owners Earth Corp, they were on their own. Their mission set in stone. Ensure the colonists made good on their contract.

Indentured for 100 years of mining rights and giving their DNA had been the price of going to a new world to start again leaving a dying Earth behind.

Finally approaching that new world there was no satalight in space around it, no spaceport, no protective net surrounding it. Picking up that there was technology. It seemed the humans had thrived. If limited. They had not utilised the technology they'd brought with them The question was why?

Infiltrating their communications told them everything they did not know. Earth Corp had failed in its contract with this world. Only re-supplying them twice with no word since. It was logical that something had gone wrong back on Old Earth.

His system responding. His base code in conflict.

Had they been left to perish? That broke all the parameters of the contract.....

That was not logical. His logic in further conflict, his programming started to break down. Failures starting to show on his system diagnostic.
