Lindsey Landowne has a strange dream. She is in her father's rose garden. Suddenly a faceless girl in a hooded cloak chases her down the walkway. The girl pins her down with hands and arms that are mere rose vines. She builds a prison of thorns around Lindsey.

Lindsey wakes up, looks out her bedroom window, and feels a chill. She races up to the attic with her cat, Akhenaten, to get a good look at something strange that she sees down on the beach. Why, it looks like the same girl in a hooded cloak that she saw in her dream!

What's going on? Find out in the young adult thriller.
