Meira Chand

Born and educated in London, Meira is an Indian-Swiss author of eight novels, was adapted for the stage in London where it had a successful run. She is an associate member of the National University of Singapore's Centre For the Arts and has been Chairperson for the Commonwealth Writers Prize for the region of Southeast Asia and South Pacific. Living in Singapore since 1997, she is involved in several programmes to mentor young writers in the country.
