Black Death

(2015)
(The third book in the SAS Black Ops: Badlands series)
A novel by

SAS Black Ops, Black Death, is a stand-alone action and adventure thriller aimed at an adult audience and does contain violence and some bad language.

In 1989 the SAS were sent to the jungles of Colombia to eliminate a notorious drug baron supplying the Provisional IRA with weapons and explosives.

In 2013 a commercial airliner has vanished from radar over the South China Seas.
In the United Kingdom the government's biological research establishment at Porton Down has been attacked. Military personnel have been killed and a quantity of an engineered plague has been stolen.

AV61, a variant of the bubonic plague is now in the hands of terrorists: with no known cure, AV61 has the potential to do more damage than a nuclear weapon.

The only clue as to who stole it, is a DNA sample from a deceased drug baron killed in 1989 and the hand prints and iris scans of a top scientist missing on a commercial airliner used to bypass security at the base.

Have the dead come back to life?

Are there more sinister forces at work?

With a government in turmoil, it's down to the boys from B.O.S.S. to find the answers before a plague is unleashed on the United Kingdom, a plague the likes of which has not been seen since the Middle Ages.

With the potential to kill up to 60% of the British population and create a global pandemic, AV61 is the most lethal bio-agent known to man, and is now in the hands of a new breed of psychopaths.

These people don't just want to extort billions of pounds from the government; they also want revenge for the assassination of a notorious drug baron.

This time it's personal and the unsuspecting British public and wider world are about to pay the ultimate price: a plague on humanity.
