For three months, unabated violence had rained down upon Hong Kong. At the Eastern Police Division, Superintendent Jack Barratt faced the almost impossible task of keeping the rioters under control. Then a young Lieutenant of the U.S. Navy was seduced by a bar girl in Wanchai, and suddenly Barratt had the break that might lead him to at least one of the main Communist subversion centres. The problem was to keep his leads alive.
