Spring has sprung in beautiful Blue Valley, Tennessee, and that means it’s time for the annual Spring Chicken Fest and town-wide yard sale.
Paper Moon owner and amateur sleuth, Alice, and friends are determined to spruce up their homes and head into the new season fresh and organized.
While she’s mostly trying to get rid of things during the yard sale, Alice just can’t resist adding a few new books to her collection when she comes across a whole boxful of them from the estate of an old friend who recently passed away.
But when she finds a cryptic warning scrawled into one of the books, she fears her friend’s death might not have been from natural causes—and soon she suspects not one, but two murders.
Unfortunately, on the surface neither death was the least bit suspicious and everyone else seems to think it’s best to leave the past buried.
But Alice’s suspicions will lead her, Owen, and Franny down a dangerous trail, marked by secret codes, hidden caverns, and legendary jewels.
