I had such hopes for our third year at Nightwing Academy. I probably shouldn’t have since our second year came with quite a few attacks and very nearly death for me and too many of my friends.
Yet I was hopeful.
Apparently I’m a fool of a daemon princess.
Our third year at the academy starts rough and gets rougher. Our enemy is still reaching out and pulling in others to join their fight. We’re fighting back, but so far they hold almost every card and call most of the shots.
All the while moving step after step down the path of limiting our ability to retaliate.
When powerful magical families join up with parts of the government and a worldwide conspiracy comes to light, how can mere students think they have a chance to fight, let alone win?
