Knocking on Hell's Door

(2025)
(The second book in the Keeper of Ivy Grove series)
A novel by

I’m the new Keeper of Ivy Grove. Their Ceidwad. It’s a familial role acting as the source of power and protector for a town of ghosts.

Right? How weird is that?!

Something I never knew was possible has been given to me, and I’m learning how to be this new version of me. I inherited the ability to be Keeper from my father. Too bad the necromancer powers I inherited from my mother change things enough that what I have to learn is, well, different.

And now we have a possible threat to the town. My town.

Someone killed Sarah, an agent for DOAA, and he seems focused on gaining access to the town and our prison;

Lonewood Prison. It houses ghosts in a pocket dimension, and it sounds like gaining access to the prison will allow them to create a gate to hell that much easier.

As you’d imagine, that’s a bad, bad thing.

Which means it’s my job to stop it if it’s going to happen.

Can I do that? I hope so. I’m new to my role and don’t know much yet, but my entire life until now has been geared around me not knowing what I need to do; and still marching forward. Shouldering the weight of my tasks until they’re completed.

Growing up it was just myself I was protecting once my mom died. Now? Now it’s an entire town, and I can’t let them down.

My name is Ashley, and I’m the Keeper of Ivy Grove.
