Journalist Georgina Powers is far from happy when ex-colleague Charlie East invites her for a wild weekend in Las Vegas and doesn't turn up until she's boarding the flight home. But for once he's got a good excuse. He won a million dollars in an all-day, all-night poker game with a Japanese gangster - the million is in highly desirable computer chips. Georgina's revenge for her lonely weekend is to sell the story of Charlie's unique gamble to the tabloids. But because the chips are the hottest property around, Georgina finds herself hunted by the Japanese Mafia, Columbia drug cartels, and a gun-happy international computer dealer - all of whom think she's got the chips.
