Emergency room shifts are either extremely busy or super slow. There’s usually no in-between.
But having my brother brought into the ER, bloody and in need of medical attention, is certainly a new one for me.
As is the woman who came in with him because he wouldn’t let her leave his side.
She needs protection. She’s a witness to whoever did this to him, and my family and I want blood.
And me… I need to keep her safe. To keep her with me.
She’s mine, and anyone who thinks they can come for her…
