Morgan Frost is already having a bad day when she receives word of her grandmother’s death. To claim her inheritance, she must drop everything and hurry to the small town of Edgehill and to the Grange, her grandmother’s farm deep in the Appalachian Mountains.

But nothing at the Grange is what it seems at first sight. There’s no electricity, no internet. Cars and cell phones don’t work. Life seems stuck in the mid-1850s. Morgan has walked into a world she doesn’t understand and is at the mercy of powerful forces seeking to prevent her from inheriting the Grange.

Then the harpies attack.

Turns out the Grange is not just an antiquated homestead in need of major renovations but a portal between a universe that relies on technology and one that functions on magic. It’s Little House on the Prairie where mythological creatures roam at large and the locals practice powerful witchcraft. Morgan herself seems to have magical abilities but someone has placed a block on her memories that has wiped this knowledge from her mind. Worse, her grandmother didn’t die of natural causes but was murdered so that her killer could gain access to the Grange. If Morgan doesn’t recover her supernatural powers soon, she’s next on the killer’s list.
