(2024)
(The first book in the Cait O'Hara series)
A novel by

Cait O’Hara is a cop. A homicide detective. Or, at least, she used to be.

Set up by a dirty cop, she is suspended from LAPD Homicide. Looking for some support from her boyfriend, she instead finds him in bed with a Hollywood bimbo.
Their bed.

Cait takes no BS from anyone, so she’s out the door, leaving the clueless lunkhead behind. Driving around aimlessly, wondering what to do next in her life, her sister, Ash, calls.

“It’s happened again!” Ash cries.

“What?” Cait says. “What’s happened?”

“IT!”

Cait instantly understands what her sister means. And Cait still carries the guilt of that girl’s death, even more than a decade later. She has to fix it. She has to catch the killer who has now murdered
two innocent girls.

Because this time, she carries a badge and a gun.

“I’m on my way,” Cait tells Ash.

She aims her 1988 Bronco north. Towards San Junípero Serra, in Northern California.

Towards home.
Cait isn't one to take "No" for an answer when she's on a murder investigation, but she has her work cut out for her since she's a suspended cop and has no authority. But wait, a chance meeting with San Serra's assistant district attorney might just fix that. Plus, Cait can't help but notice he's easy on the eyes...
