THE HAUNTING OF KILGORE

Every autumn, Kilgore University transforms its cavernous stadium complex into the most terrifying haunted attraction in the state. Sponsored by the championship football program, the labyrinth of concrete tunnels, equipment cages, abandoned locker rooms, and fog-drenched turf is designed to draw thousands of screaming fans for a grueling weekend of six-to-four-hour shifts.

For twenty-two-year-old quarterback Theoden Gardner and twenty-two-year-old varsity cheerleader Phoebe Andrews, the haunted house was supposed to be nothing more than team bonding, adrenaline-fueled laughs, and stolen kisses in the dark. Phoebe has loved Theoden in secret for four years and called him hers for two—a possessive, all-consuming devotion matched only by Theoden’s lethal, dark protectiveness over his golden girl.

But when the stadium's heavy steel security gates slam shut and the fake screams of the attraction are replaced by genuine butchery, a real predator begins stalking the cheerleaders and football players through the theatrical maze.

One by one, the varsity roster is slaughtered with stadium gear, industrial props, and cold-blooded precision. With paranoia tearing the survivors apart and suspicion pointing toward the team’s brooding tight end, Roland Carpenter, Theoden and Phoebe fight through the blood-slicked corridors to protect each other at all costs.

Yet in the darkest depths of the Kilgore tunnels, the final horror isn't who is hiding in the shadows.

It’s who survives them.
