Charles E Friend

Charles E. Friend was the author of numerous fiction and non-fiction works. His books include both Western adventures and novels of the American Revolution. He was a student of American history and included much historical detail in his books, but, as he pointed out in his Author's Note to "Sail A Fast Ship," he wrote not for historians but for lovers of adventure, people of imagination who enjoy tales set in the exciting days of the American fight for independence and the "age of fighting sail".
