A new crime novel set in St Ives published by Truran, the Cornish publisher: Letting Go by Debby Fowler. This is the first novel of a series with a Felicity Paradise as the heroine and amateur detective sometimes working with Inspector Penrose of the Devon and Cornwall Police. When Felicity Paradise's lawyer husband is killed by a hit and run driver in Oxford, she flees to Cornwall in an attempt to sort out her life. Though the verdict is 'unlawful killing', she is convinced his death was deliberate and is linked in some way to the case on which he was working.

A chance encounter in a pub in St Ives leads her to uncover a trail of crime which begins in an Oxford College and ends in a famous Cornish garden. Set in St Ives and west Cornwall, Letting Go is a compelling crime novel with Felicity Paradise at its heart - at times, self-willed and opinionated, at others insecure and more than a little terrified - trying to cope with the chaos and confusion in her own life and the greater mayhem caused by the dark secrets she unearths.
